I think there are more than twelve days of Christmas...

We went downtown to have brunch with the Sugarplum Fairy and see The Louisville Ballet's incredible version of The Nutcracker:
Not too sure of the rats...until they took off their heads and we discovered they were cute blondes.
One angel...which one do you think is her?
With a jockey...who jumps out from under Madame Derby's dress.
Y'all remember this from grammar school field trips, no? Here in horse country, she's Madame Derby and little jockeys come out...it's pretty fresh.
It snows in Whitney Hall just before intermission...I was impressed.
Snowy, happy girls
Santa came to our neighbors house just before the big day for one last check on our behavior and lists
Mary Thomas wouldn't get any closer than this

Also, as some of you know, our gals go to a Jewish day school, so not only did we get to rock out for Jesus' big birthday this year, we also celebrated our newest favorite winter holiday - Hanukkah!
 Mary Thomas' menorah
Dr. Mama was REALLY busy doing bone marrow transplants on Hanukkah party day, so Grandma April came and enjoyed latkes [potato pancakes] with us!
I'm 98% certain my mother is reciting Hail Marys in her head right now and thinking, "well Jesus was Jewish"
 Jane and Marleigh
 John Gage!
The legendary Louisville guitar teacher and kids entertainer - and look who's front and center. Aunt Marie's niece - all she needs is a tambourine.
 Jane and Erin

Santa Pajama
All the Kute Family together again for Christmas! Our schedule over the past SEVERAL years had always clashed with this super event, so we were so happy to be there this year! The Kutes are an unbelievably fast multiplying bunch and we have so many FAST and FUN cousins that next year we're going to handout cross country uniforms and run laps around the Crowne Plaza hotel!
